[Dodp3] Funding Opportunity for Region 4 DOD facilities and Universities

The DOD Region 4 P2 Partnership between EPA Region 4, the eight southeastern
states, various military installation and various support agencies is
encouraging southeastern college and universities to develop
projects/programs proposal to tackle issues in one or more of the DOD
"Regional Priorities". Through this program Region 4 DOD facilities will be
able to address pollution prevention problems  they have not be able to
address before.  The Deadline for the proposal is October 15, 2001.  Please
refer to the following website to learn more about the Regional Partnership,
the development of this program, the Regional Priorities, the Application
Process and other helpful information. All proposal are subject to
coordination by the five military services prior to final approval/award.

Also, "members of the military" in region 4 who will be attending the
upcoming Southern States Annual Environmental Conference and Exhibition,
24-28 Sept in Biloxi, MS would like to invite university POCs to stop by the
Region 4 DOD/EPA/State Pollution Prevention Partnership exhibit table to
discuss the upcoming Regional P2 Project Program for Universities (or
whatever official name you are using).   To learn more about the

In addition, Dave Glass (Air Force Regional Environmental Coordinator,
David.Glass at ATLAAFCEE.Brooks.af.mil,  and Ed Engbert (Army Regional

those who are interested to stop by to join them and other military
representatives for lunch and discussion on this topic on Wednesday, 26
Sept, in the conference center at 11:30 a.m., Room D13.  If those who wish
to stop by are not registered for the conference but they would like to
purchase lunch on-site, they can do so for $10.00.  They can also stop by
and visit the various exhibitors while there.
