Do you know about national and state electronics legislation, product
stewardship or conducting local collection programs for electronics?
What about dealing with surplus computer equipment or knowing what to
look for when selecting an electronics recycler? If you don't know
about the nation's fastest growing environmental concern, now is the
time to learn. The Kentucky Partnership for Effective Electronics
Reuse
and Recycling (PEER2) is hosting a regional electronics conference
entitled Bridging the Borders to Electronics Reuse and Recycling. The
event will take place in Louisville, KY on August 28-29, 2002 at the
Galt House Hotel. The Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center (KPPC) is
the facilitator of PEER2 and is coordinating the conference. Attached
you will find a Conference Brochure along with an Exhibitor/Sponsor
Prospectus to tell you more about the conference. There is also
additional information available on-line at www.kppc.org/PEER2. If
you
know of anyone who might be interested in this topic, we ask that you
please forward this to them to help spread the word. If you have
any
questions or concerns, please contact Lissa McCracken or Don Douglass
at
(502) 852-0965.
