	We want to make sure that you have heard about a terrific EMS training opportunity on 6-7 Nov here in Atlanta.  The attachments below give detailed information.  This training is strongly supported and encouraged by ASA (ESOH), Mr. Ray Fatz, and we are hoping that every installation will take advantage of this unique opportunity.  Mr. Fatz and Mr. Woodley (DoD) are currently planning to attend the opening session.  
	The registration deadline for the Tier 1 training is 30 Sep so don't delay.  Also, the results of the competition for the Tier 2 training will be announced during the Tier 1 training.  Because of the TIM transition occurring on the same date as the suspense for the Tier 2 nominations, you can FAX and/or send a nomination package to me, and I will coordinate with the new TIM region before the final selections are made. All,  Attached are flyers, information papers and letters concerning the DoD/EPA Region 4 EMS training.  In summary there will be general EMS training 6-7 November 2002 and again in November 2003 for all DoD installations that want to participate (one per installation).  Sixteen or so DoD installations will be selected by Major Commands to participate in more specific training, coaching and mentoring during the next year.  You can register for training 6-7 Nov 02 at www.kppc.org (Click on upcoming events, DoD EMS Alliance, print out form and fax to Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center).  Keep in touch with your Major Commands and HQ to let them know you are interested.
