FIFTH ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM & WORKSHOP
The Tri-Service Environmental Centers Coordinating Committee and the
Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) are jointly hosting the
Fifth Environmental Technology Symposium & Workshop. The symposium will be
held at the Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, March 24-28,
2003.
The theme this year is TOMORROWS SOLUTIONS TODAY, focusing on installation
user requirements, needs, and the transfer of methodologies and technologies
that keep DoD installations in compliance with regulatory guidance, reduce
pollution, conserve natural resources, and restore DoD lands.
The Tri-Service Environmental Centers (USAEC, NFESC, AFCEE) and ITRC are
teaming up to showcase innovative environmental technologies while
discussing methods to overcome regulatory barriers and improve technology
transfer. The symposium will offer an excellent networking opportunity for
environmental professionals and provide a forum for discussing strategies,
innovations, demonstrations and products, and the interaction between state
regulators the federal government and the private sector to implement
innovative technologies/methodologies for use in the field.
In addition to technical sessions, this year ITRC will be hosting several
training sessions, otherwise offered via the Internet. Some of the topics
presented include Small Arms Firing Ranges, Permeable Reactive Barriers, and
Diffusion Samplers. This training is open to all symposium attendees free
of charge. This event is also considered the ITRC Spring Meeting. Team
meetings within ITRC focus areas will be held daily.
The Army Environmental Quality Technology Workshop will also be integrated
into the end of the symposium. The EQT program manages Army priority
environmental requirements, focusing RDT&E investments and considering
off-the-shelf technologies that meet user needs.
Register to attend on-line today to preview the technologies of tomorrow! A
new web site feature this year will allow registered attendees to build and
print their personalized agenda. Hotel reservations must be made by March
5, 2003, in order to receive the special conference rate of $81 per night.
