Good day, Alice and our illustrious P2 colleagues,

	We at DPPEA have been researching different options regarding the
used propane tanks. Have you checked with some of the local propane
companies in your area to see if they can refit and re-sell the tanks?
Companies such as Amerigas, Carolane, Piedmont Natural Gas, Southern States
may be able to refurbish them. Also, check with the local Chamber of
Commerce to see if they can point you in the direction of some companies
that may be able to refurbish and use the tanks. It is good that you have
found a recycler that will take them in the event that is the only option
available to you.

Is there any other way to reuse/recondition used
propane cyclinders from forklift use.  We have ~30
empty propane steel cyclinders that have seen years of
use.  We have went to a lease cylinder system and are
no longer refilling our own propane tanks for the
forklifts and now need to dispose existing fleet of
cyclinders.
Metal recyclers have said they would take them if the
top valve was removed.  Is there a
re-use/re-conditioner for these tanks?  Seems a waste
to just junk these at a metal recycler.
