Dear P2Assist Colleagues,
I once heard a story about a man who was trying to throw away a
metal trash can that had a hole in it. He kept setting it out for the trash
collector to haul away, but the hauler wouldn't take it. After several weeks
of seeing the can left behind, the man, stomped the can flat and set it out
on trash day. When the hauler arrived, he took the garbage, but stomped the
flat trash can roughly into useable shape and left it with the other empty
cans. Oh, well...His heart was in the right place.
OK, so I told you that so I can tell you this....................Our
friend Gabi Kaiser is looking for a market for used-to-death trash carts.
Here is her message. Hope you can help her.
In Gabi's own words:
Here is the situation: City of Durham, Department of Solid Waste has
approximately 3.500 broken, old ... 90 gallon trash roll-out carts (brands
are Polycarts, America carts, Zarn). I would like to see them recycled
instead of dumped. BUT the only company that I found would only take them
without the metal. That means hours and hours of work to dismantle the cans,
take out the metal axes, screws and so forth.
Any help or advice on the horizon??
Gabi
