The Town of Cary only pays for computer monitors to be recycled, the rest
our processor takes for free. Of course currently we are only accepting
computers and related computer materials (i.e. keyboards, printers, fax
machines, etc.). This might change in the future, but currently is what our
contact states.

Please consider yourself lucky that you have been able to get your
electronic materials recycled free of charge. That is unheard of in the
Triangle area. To give yourself more bargaining power with the recycler,
look to combine your County surplus computer & electronic equipment with
the
equipment you get from your citizens. This will drop the price per pound
that the recycler charges because he will get more poundage.
