I would have to agree with Mary's first thought. Depending on the amount of
tennis balls, how about donating them to local SPCAs?

First thing that came to my mind was getting a large group of labrador
retrievers near a pond --- :)  Hey, at least you know that there are
those of us out here reading the email messages posted on a relatively
new listserv.

More creatively, has anyone contacted DOT?  Seems similar to the efforts
roofing shingle manufacturers tried several years ago to grind excess
scrap and incorporate in road paving.  Just a thought.
