Biocorp update based on a quick search: Biocorp products were primarily
imported and were made by an Italian company Novamont that makes a
starch based biodegradable thermoplastic called Mater-Bi.
(www.materbi.com). Biocorp also marketed a clear plastic cup made by
Cargill Dow using their NatureWorks PLA another starch based plastic
that has wide applications including fiber. (www.cargilldow.com)
About this time last year Biocorp and Novamont were in patent dipute
over film technology with a German company Biotec which prevailed.
Novamont has entered into a licensing agreement with Biotec while
Biocorp faded from the scene towards the end of last year and is
understood to be reorganizing.
You might be able to reach someone from Biocorp at either 310-491-3465
or 310-643-1626
