Beloved P2crew,
Thanks for the great P2Assist postings today. I have yet one more to
share with you. Today I attended a meeting at the NC Department of
Transportation and enjoyed an excellent presentation by colleague John
Sharp, about telephone book reduction. He gave us a primer on how to use the
online version of the Bell Telephone online directory. The unique thing
about this particular application is that you can download a link and set it
up on your computer to default to any Bell system white or yellow page
directory in North America. Then you can have it on your "desktop" or in any
file you save it to. To find a number, just click the online directory link.
The download is very quick and doesn't take much hard drive space at all.
Here is how to get your free download.
For Internet Explorer users, click here:

For Netscape users, click here:

If you had rather get your listings from the Realpages search engine, go to:
http://www.realpages.com
I have had success in finding numbers in some online directories but not in
others. Here are some options I use:
http://www.bigbook.com/
http://yellowpages.lycos.com/
http://www.whowhere.lycos.com/
http://yp.yahoo.com/
http://people.yahoo.com/
http://search.worldpages.com/
There are many more directories out there.
Thanks and peace to all of you,
Tom
