In giving further thought to the oil tank issue, I have seen low-cost
versions made from a simple 240-gallon heating oil tank resting in a
fabricated metal catch pan or dike. This type of collection tank works just
as well as the higher priced commercially available dike tanks, but because
the "homemade" dike is open topped, the tank and dike should be protected
from the rain, dust and other possible contaminants.
