Water Quality Director
(Environmental Health Supervisor II)
Serve as Division Director in charge of water quality investigations, site
and installation approvals for on-site wastewater systems, inspections of
surface water discharge facilities, sedimentation and erosion control,
groundwater surveillance, well siting and installation, and flood and
stormwater programs; provide enforcement of regulations and investigation
of violations associated with environmental and public health laws;
supervise a staff of 38 division employees and report directly to the
Director of Environmental Services.  Knowledge of public health and
environmental health laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules; experience
preparing budget materials and ability to present technical information
preferred.  Master's degree in Environmental Health or a related field and
five years of exp. in environmental health sanitation; eligibility for
registration by the NC State Board of Sanitarian Examiners req'd.
$48,199-$80,176.
