Pallet Recycling Workshop Planned

N.C. State University, the N.C. Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance, Land-of-Sky Regional Council, and the USDA Forest Service have scheduled a half-day workshop on pallet recycling in Asheville for the morning of January 31, 2002.  This workshop will offer information on wood waste reduction by discussing profitable opportunities to recover, repair, reuse, and recycle wooden pallets.  Opportunities to make products such as flooring, paneling and furniture from used pallet parts will also be discussed.  This workshop should be of high interest to industrial pallet users, pallet recyclers, landfill operators, woodworkers and government employees.
