Environmentally-Friendly Landscaping Workshop at Conference<br>

<font size=3>Piedmont Landscaping and Naturescaping Training (PLANT) is
delivering a three hour workshop to teach attendees about backyard
composting, environmentally friendly methods of landscaping, and use of
non-invasive and native plants in residential and commercial landscaping
at the Carolina Recycling Association’s
12</font><font size=2><sup>th</font></sup><font size=3> Annual Conference
and Trade Show. PLANT is Mecklenburg County’s home composting program
that started in 1993 and has reached over 6000 households.&nbsp; PLANT
teaches a complete yard care system that is environmentally friendly,
aesthetically pleasing, low maintenance and low budget to the public
through a coordinated series of year round workshops and programs
addressing interrelated topics. PLANT promotes wise and sustainable
management of natural resources through responsible stewardship, working
in partnership with individuals, neighborhoods, schools, community
organizations and government. <br>
The Carolina Recycling Association’s
12</font><font size=2><sup>th</font></sup><font size=3> Annual Conference
&amp; Trade Show is March 24-27, 2002 at the scenic Grove Park Inn in

Construction and Demolition Recycling, Electronics Recycling, Waste
