I couldn't find the LCA report at that web site, but tried this one and it
seemed to work:
http://www.epa.gov/opptintr/dfe/pubs/index.htm#comp
Personally, I didn't get a lot of factual information from the article that
was posted here. It seemed like one person's negative opinions dominated.
The LCA is not easy to digest, and does not exclusively focus on
end-of-life impacts, so it doesn't have any immediate answers for those
concerned with recycling and disposal of monitors. I'm glad that someone is
out front on this issue, however, as the big buy season for computers is
upon us.
Maybe a someone in NC who is involved in this issue could provide a more
objective analysis of the LCD vs. CRT impacts for the list serve?
