Thanks, Scott, for providing those thoughts. I was concerned because the
recycler quoted in the originally posted article seemed to be saying that
LCDs would be just as bad as CRTs (and maybe worse), and I'd heard that
they would improve electronics management. Someone like me who's not
educated in the nuances of electronics end-of-life management might
conclude that the sky is falling. Sometimes the media likes to focus only
on the bad news.
