                     Environmental Program Specialist

Implement the County's commercial waste reduction programs, policies, and
educational efforts; research solutions to impediments; recommend solutions
and follow up on recommendations; provide technical assistance for the
commercial sectors based on directives from the Wake County Solid Waste
Management Division and Wake County Solid Waste Advisory Committee; prepare
articles and reports for newsletters; make presentations as needed;
administer contracts relating to established programs; and perform other
duties as assigned.  Bachelor's degree in the environmental field with 3
years of experience in a job related field.  Job# 319/02.  Closes:
