Interested in a day-long workshop on achieving high performance building?  See the Triangle J Council of Governments website (http://www.tjcog.dst.nc.us/hpgreg.htm) for information on four day-long workshops scheduled for the spring of 2002.  These workshops are designed for architects, engineers, facilities managers, and contractors interested in learning about technologies and strategies for achieving high performance buildings.  The workshop brings together in one place a remarkable group of experts who will provide an introduction to a variety of techniques that can have a significant impact on improving lifetime building performance.  Topics covered include daylighting, building envelope and thermal mass, solar energy, green products, rainwater collection systems, stormwater management, mechanical systems, and integrated design process techniques. The workshop format includes both lectures and break-out discussion sessions with experts on specific topics.  A discounted price is available for public sector attendees.
