Sustainability: A 21st Century Model for Economic Growth<?xml:namespace

                        Friday Center, Chapel Hill, NC

 

Join Save Our State on October 23, 2002 for a one-day conference on
sustainable economic development. Our featured speaker will be Paul Hawken,
noted author of the popular best sellers Natural Capitalism, The Ecology of
Commerce, and Growing a Business. The conference's goal is to introduce
sustainability principles to North Carolina business and industry,
government and the media and to create a forum for ongoing dialogue on
environmentally responsible economic development. The conference will be
held at the Friday Center, Chapel Hill, NC.

 

Other sessions will feature business case studies and panel presentations on
emerging trends and opportunities in sustainable enterprise. The target
audience is business, political and civic leaders so that they can make
informed decisions on responsible stewardship of our state's natural
resources.

 

The conference is hosted by Save Our State, a statewide nonprofit
organization that promotes conservation of natural resources along with
sustainable economic development.
