[SustainableNC] Sharron Rogers elected to NCSEA Board!!

At the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) annual meeting,
held at the NCSU McKimmon Center on Nov. 9, 2002, Sharron Rogers, our
esteemed listserve hostess and state government sustainable
cheerleader/information source was elected to the NCSEA Board of Directors.
The annual meeting included a four hour program on renewable energy which
was kicked off by Larry Shirley, the Director of the State Energy Office, NC
Department of Administration.  More than 80 people were in attendance to
hear those "in the know" speak about GreenPower, Photovoltaics, Wind Energy,
Solar Thermal and Biomass technologies.

North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association is working to create a
sustainable energy future by promoting renewable energy technologies
including solar, wind, micro-hydro, geothermal, biofuels and energy
efficiency. Since 1978, NCSEA has conducted countless workshops, solar home
tours and Earth Day events, educating tens of thousands of North
Carolinians. NCSEA is also a stakeholder in the U.S. Department of Energy's
Clean Cities Program, which focuses on increasing the availability and use
of alternative fuel vehicles. With NCSEA's strong efforts and membership
backing, the organization has successfully helped to implement a significant
tax credit (35%) for solar and other renewable energy systems in the state.
